Sadza Series 3: Mambo WeMheni

You are invited to Sadza Series 3: Mambo weMheni event/performance hosted by Tendai Mupita (Sarungano Wemeso)in collaboration with Sadza Series!  

 This event will feature a sadza dinner to activate Mupita’s Chikuva project, an ongoing project for the past five years. The project will take place at the Shandaken: Storm King Art residency, where the environment and architectural agency have inspired a reconstruction of the chikuva spaces. This will involve an interrogation of the traditional Shona kitchen and ‘Musha’ - the village(home) where visitors and family are welcome. Visitors and friends are invited to be part of this collective integration of conversations and interaction, providing an opportunity to engage in important discourses. This event is a collective ritual invitation to experience the enchanting Shona kitchen and the magical ‘chikuwa’.
